🧐 Challenge

The client, an industry leading specialised manufacturer for train and truck parts that went through a global transformation of their financial IT systems struggled to get it done. They asked us to identify the root causes for the lacking progress, identify requirements for a successful project turnaround, ideate potential solutions to move faster, create alignment of process to move on, and fundamentally change the toxic atmosphere.

💡 Activities

To address these challenges, several activities were undertaken in a collaborative session. First, the project participants' voices were heard to gain individual insights. This was followed by an inspirational speech by C-level executive, demonstrating the full buy-in and explaining the intended synergy effects of the transformation. Afterwards a shared vision was created to emotionally engage and align every business units.

Following, "How might we" questions were defined to tackle the blockers and prioritize the most significant obstacles. To solve these HMW questions creative brainstorming sessions then generated pain relievers and gain creators to alleviate challenges and enhance progress. The initial ideas were refined by the entire group and prioritized to develop a strategy to turn the project around. Finally next steps got derived and prioritized, ensuring clear responsibilities for actionable implementation.
